General comments
Indien er een indicatie voor profylaxe bestaat, wordt deze gestart na het breken van de vliezen of bij evidente weeënactiviteit (bij dat wat eerst optreedt).
Streef er, indien mogelijk, naar om de profylaxe minstens 4uur voor de partus te starten. Ook als de partus binnen 4uur verwacht wordt, is het van belang om de profylaxe te starten.
